How to care for your linen garments?

From the summer linen dress, a perfect vacation companion, to the versatile linen shirt that effortlessly transitions from office to evening affairs, linen clothing remains an enduring symbol of style and elegance.

It is a common misconception that linen is difficult to care for. But the raw natural and sustainable fibers have been used long before dry cleaners and fancy detergents.

It is important that these fibers are given the attention they deserve.

1. Only wash linen and knits when necessary. A simple airing will suffice if washing isn't required. 
2. Place flat and in an airy space out of the sun for a couple of days.
3. Gently spot clean with sunlight soap or cool hand wash
4. Linen can be machine washed in cold water with similar colours using an earth friendly detergent.
5. We recommend a delicate cycle using a washing bag.
6. Knit and cashmere are a more delicate in nature. We recommend cold hand wash with a wool detergent.
7. If hand washing use a gentle motion and never ring or twist as this can cause damage to the fibre structure.
8. Always dry flat in the shade to avoid hanging stretching marks
9. Do not tumble dry
10. We prefer a gentle steamer on our linen however you can also use an iron with a low temperature to softly press and shape.
11. Our natural apparel can also be taken to a trusted eco friendly dry cleaner. Be sure to check on the chemicals they use as these can be harmful to the natural fibers.
